Santander Must Be a Home Pooper

There’s no other explanation for Santander‘s slow start the season: he had to homer back at Camden yards

This little blog here is a perfect representation of how my dumb, stupid brain works when it comes to things that not only happen in real life, but the sports I watch. This was my biggest take away from today’s 5-4 loss in Baltimore.

A quick excerpt for those that have not been following the Blue Jays this year. They acquired star outfielder Anthony Santander from the Baltimore Orioles in the off-season who hit 40+ home runs last season and will help provide provide power to this Blue Jays’ lineup. He is a notorious slow starter to every season he’s played in, and no exception this year.

Now the reason I’m bringing this up is because today the Blue Jays played against their division rival Baltimore Orioles, Anthony Santander‘s former team. Anthony Santander has not had a big Blue Jays moment yet so to speak early in the season, and nobody should be worried nonetheless. It’s 162 games, we have lots of time. Where my dumb guy brain comes into effect is Anthony Santander finally broke his somewhat slump to start the season by going KABOOM over the right field fence at Camden yards.

Where is the connection between Anthony Santander hitting a home run, and him being designated a home pooper by me? Well, Santander returned to Camden yards today for the first time since leaving them this past off-season where he was greeted to a bunch of warm cheers from the fans when he stepped up to the plate for the first time in the game. He hit a ground out, but after, a second inning tribute video was put on by the Baltimore Orioles showing Santander‘s best moments as an Oriole where he was there for 8 seasons. Santander stepped up to the plate in the 3rd inning, and hit a towering home run to right field, proving to us yet again not only as sports fans, but as regular human beings: as soon as you walk into the door of your home, the urge to poop is urgent, NAY, relentless!

So I am officially without knowing anything about Anthony Santander outside of his baseball career, designating him as an official home pooper like many of us in the world today.
