Do you think Travis Hunter is breathing a sigh of relief after draft night?
Draft night in the NFL is always a fun night, not only to see what player your team takes in the first round, but all the other drama surrounding the rest of the league. And the league did not disappoint last night.
Jacksonville and their newly constructed front office and coaching staff went out and put their nuts on the table for the entire football world to see. They went out and got probably the best blue chip prospect in this draft in Travis Hunter, wide receiver AND cornerback, and reigning Heisman winner.

Now I saw this drama unfold on the first night of the draft and my first immediate thought was: wow, he went from Cleveland to Jacksonville. Take a second to just reread that sentence and think to yourself he went from going to the “Dawg SHIT Pound” in Cleveland to the “JOKEsonville” Jaguars.
Not much of an upgrade if you ask me.
Sure, you can say between the two franchises you’d probably rather be in Jacksonville for a couple reasons. First, being the weather. Would you rather be in sunny Florida, or dreary Cleveland? Easy answer.
Secondly, Jacksonville did the right things in the off-season by getting a new young, exciting general manager in James Gladstone, and adding offensive minded head coach in Liam Coen. Nothing against Kevin Stefanski in Cleveland, but with all the drama surrounding Deshaun Watson and this never-ending cycle of disparity for this Cleveland franchise, Jacksonville seems like a slightly better place.
The last reason may just be myself, but maybe some other people agree with me. Travis Hunter seems like he would look better in the Jaguars’ jersey than a Browns’ jersey. Now, maybe nobody really looks good in the Cleveland Browns jersey so might be a moot point.

The Cleveland Browns have a record of 57–106–1 in the last 10 years. The Jacksonville Jaguars have a record of 55-109. So when the title says “Travis Hunter went from a bad franchise to another bad franchise”, I wasn’t far off…
It will take me a few days until I stop picturing the moment when someone in Travis Hunter‘s camp announced the Browns are trading the 2nd overall pick and what the reaction from Travis and his friends and family was knowing, he did not have to play football in Cleveland. And then immediately realizing Jacksonville was the one who traded for the 2nd pick. That roller coaster of emotions and body language I would’ve paid to see live in person.
So, which team do you think Travis Hunter would’ve been better off playing for: Cleveland or Jacksonville? Comment below
