Devers Is On Pace To Have 0 Hits in 2025

Devers may never even record another hit in the Major Leagues ever again...

As fans of sports, we always love to have overreactions and exaggerations to the start of seasons with crazy predictions that usually result in the words "This player is on pace to ____"

Rafael Devers has set the MLB record with 12 strikeouts in a team's first 4 games of a season. Rafael Devers now after 5 games is sitting at 0-for-19 with 15 STRIKEOUTS!!!!!

Now do I truly believe Rafael Devers is not going to record a single hit this 2025 season? No, of course not. But isn't it still important to have an imagination as adults? Isn't it fun to imagine a world where Devers goes 0-500 in an entire season?

Even Adam Schefter, ESPN'S NFL Senior Insider, got his imagination going when he tweeted:

This blog is really just about the fact that I am more rooting for Devers to not get a hit and see how long he can go hitless to start their season. I hope it is well through April and MLB scholars scoff at the length in which his hitless streak goes on. AND, I really hope Alex Cora and the Red Sox continue to play him everyday until he does finally get that hit.
