1 Unsung Hero from each CFP Quarter Final Game

Heroes are made when nobody is watching, expect for when I'm watching the CFP games

It is easy for everyone to notice the stars in the spotlight during a game on a stage like the College Football Playoff quarterfinals the past few days. Where I divert my attention to during these kind of games are the ones in the background.

So let's give praise to the one hero from each game that stole the show for me:

  1. CFP Committee

These fine scholarly ladies and gents are the ones in charge of the entire College Football Playoff pageant, and they blessed Penn State with the EASIEST possible path to the semi finals.

I mean no disrespect to SMU or Boise State but, come on, they aren't on that kinda level. And let's remember, James Franklin is 3-17 against top-10 ranked teams, so these Perrier drinking dipsh*ts thought "let's let him slide right to the semis". The state of Pennsylvania got the heroes they didn't deserve in this committee.

Last note: every single one of the members in this committee look like they text on their phones with one finger. Look like they have all made a scene at a Ruth's Chris about the seasoning on the steak. And they most certainly look like the kind of people that think Vermont is "the hidden gem of the Northeast".

  1. Referees

This one is simple:

America is a great country (according to many Americans) -> Matthew McConaughey is a diehard Texas fan (only celebrity in all of sports allowed on the sidelines every game) -> America loves Matthew McConaughey -> America wants Texas to win

  1. Rose Bowl Security Guard

This man deserves his own rose with the way he controlled that stage. Sure, the Buckeyes dominated on the field, but the off-the-field star of the game is Lieutenant Commander "Sillie" Nelson of the Rose Bowl Security brigade.

America is a safer place with this man protecting our front lines.

  1. Parker Jones

Official quote from a Sugar Bowl official:

"Parker Jones, number 39 red shirt of the Georgia football team made it direct impact in today’s sugar bowl classic. His valiant effort will not go unnoticed when he proceeded to get in an official way on the sideline, in which directly resulted in the loss of a big play down field for the Georgia Bulldogs, possibly all the momentum they could’ve started, and the game itself as a whole.

We will not forget the actions of this young man tonight, and we just hope that young men everywhere watch, admire, and take after this brave gentleman‘s legacy.”
